Far more than just laughter

Professor Jonathan Halevy, director-general of Shaare Zedek and Professor Francis Mimouni, head of the Paediatric Department, accept a generous cheque from the hospital's team of medical clowns.

Shaare Zedek's team of medical clowns are a much-loved fixture of the Paediatric Department. Now, through a remarkable gesture of generosity, the clowns have allocated a portion of their salaries to the construction of the new Children's Hospital.

This is the first time that the clowns of Rofei Chalom (Dream Doctors), most of whom work in hospitals outside Jerusalem, have chosen to contribute financially to the development of one of the hospitals where they work.
