| | 50,000 children are treated at Shaare Zedek each year. Around 3,500 are hospitalised and an additional 15,000 are treated in the Paediatric Emergency Department. Since the current Paediatric Department was built almost 30 years ago, patient numbers have trebled. No major renovations have taken place since that time and now the Department is bursting at the seams. The need to build a dedicated Children's Hospital has become an urgent priority. |
